Chinese firm funds middle school in Angola, Construction work commences

Construction work on a middle school in Kuito city, capital of central Angola's Bie province has begun, the constructor China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corporation said on Thursday, March 21.
Sprawling across an area of 1,769.5 square meters, its construction is likely to be completed by 2020, the company officials said. Zhu Qihui, chairman of China Railway 20 Bureau Group International Angola, said during the cornerstone laying ceremony that the company is fully aware of the responsibility for building such a middle school in Angola, a country that highly values education.
"We will guarantee the efficiency and quality of the construction, and offer a good learning environment to all the students as soon as possible," said Zhu. Pereira Alfredo, governor of Bie province, expressed his confidence in the company, saying he is looking forward to a satisfying project. The governor said the government will be committed to improving infrastructure and local people's living conditions, as reported by Xinhua.
