Filming on Better Call Saul Season 6 will begin soon. It was renewed just right after the fifth season premiered on AMC. Michael Mando tweeted on February 16, 2021 about his departure from Canada to the United States for filming the series.
Fans will have to wait long to watch Better Call Saul Season 6 as the ongoing pandemic disrupted the production of many television series projects. However, the good news is that the producer Bob Odenkirk informed Deadline in February that the show would begin its shooting in the coming month. Addressing fans he said that the show would feature more episodes and expect suspense culmination in the upcoming season.
"I can't wait for the fireworks, really," said Odenkirk. Our show is a bit of a slow burn over the past few years, and [Gilligan and Gould] build up. There's certainly exciting moments throughout, but towards the end, it gets super supremely intense." He added.
Bob Odenkirk has received four nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Recently, he receives the fourth nomination in the 78th Golden Globe Awards for his work in the Breaking Bad prequel series, Better Call Saul.
While preparing for the final season of the crime drama, Better Call Saul Season 6, he said to Deadline "the nomination is a reminder that there's other people out there in the world, that we're part of a community."
"We haven't seen each other because there's no get-togethers, there's no awards and the benefit shows that you're a part of, that are big part of … this very social business. But even just getting the nomination … it reminds me that I'm in this community of people I like very much," added the producer.
All the Better Call Saul seasons are critically acclaimed, and special praised for acting, characters, writing, direction, and cinematography. The showrunner Peter Gould stated, "We couldn't be more grateful to the fans and critics who are making this journey possible."
"From Day 1 of Better Call Saul, my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill—now AMC and Sony are making that dream come true," said the creator.
Along with Bob Odenkirk, Jason Bateman, Josh O'Connor, Al Pacino, and Matthew Rhys have been nominated for the Golden Globe awards in the best actor category.
Better Call Saul Season 6 might premiere at the end of 2021 or at the beginning of 2022. Stay connected with Devdiscourse for more information.
