Furthermore, Sean Kanan who played the role of Mike Barnes in The Karate Kid III revealed recently that he might join the cast of Cobra Kai Season 4. He said "I've spoken with the producers multiple times so, all I can say is we saw a little clip of Mike Barnes in Season 3, and if I had to say, I don't think that we've seen the last of him. We shall see."

Meanwhile, Dallas Dupree Young was also cast in the Cobra kai Season 4 to portray Kenny, a bullied new kid in school who learns karate to defend himself from the bullies. School of Rock's Oona O'Brien would play Devon, a potential new karate student who is relentlessly competitive.

However, the official release date is not confirmed yet for Cobra Kai Season 4. In an interview with Pop Culture, the co-creator and executive producer Josh Heald stated “we are looking to make Season 4 in 2021, COVID has thrown a wrench into everyone's plans for exactly when production begins.”

“But our expectation is in early 2021, we will be in production. We are just keeping our heads down and making sure that the story makes sense and the scripts are solid and getting our ducks in a row so the moment that everything looks good, we can begin,” said Josh Heald.

Cobra Kai Season 3 ended with Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) putting aside their rivalry and teaming up against John Kreese (Martin Kove) to save the Cobra Kai team.

The creators, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald spoke to Hollywood Life about Johnny and Daniel’s teaming up and their plans for the show's future.

"This was the plan from the beginning. I mean, we knew that we were going to start the show the way that we did in Season 1 reigniting that rivalry between Johnny and Daniel. In our original pitch for the show, we talked about how Season 2 would be sort of dojo versus dojo, Johnny versus Daniel, and then that would sort of be the theme of what was going on in Season 2," said Jon Hurwitz.

The cast of Cobra Kai Season 4 includes William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Martin Kove and the student of the rival dojos are Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz), Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso, Daniel's daughter) Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene, Johnny's son), Jacob Bertrand (Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz), Peyton List (Tory Nichols), and Gianni Decenzo (Demetri).

Cobra Kai Season 4 doesn't yet have an official release date. Stay tuned to Devdiscourse to get the latest updates on other Netflix series.
