'Mrs. Maisel,' 'Game of Thrones' win on the night of Emmy upsets

"Game of Thrones" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" won the top prizes at the Emmy awards on Monday on a night of upsets for the highest honors in television and a triumph for streaming services. Box Office: 'The Predator' Bites Off $24 Million Bow

"The Predator" was able to fend off "The Nun" at the domestic box office. Shane Black's "The Predator" launched with a tepid $24 million from 4,037 North American locations. That was easily enough to top the weekend box office, but not enough to land a franchise-best debut. That distinction still belongs to 2010's "Predator" with $24.7 million (not including the two "Alien vs. Predator" crossover films). Overseas, "The Predator" earned $30.7 million for a global start of $54.7 million. It will need to generate big business internationally to justify its $88 million production budget.

British model and television host Alexa Chung used an airport theme for her London Fashion Week debut on Saturday, while Gareth Pugh honored the British capital's creativity and Alice Temperley picked muses of all ages to showcase her summer line. Chung, a fashion darling who has collaborated with British clothing retailer Marks & Spencer and had a Mulberry handbag named after her, swapped the coveted catwalk front row for backstage - sending out models in her eponymous brand, which she launched last year.
