International Yoga Day Unites Global Diplomatic Missions in India

Diplomatic missions in India, including those from the UK, US, and Israel, celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the event in Srinagar, while External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar joined diplomats in Delhi. The day highlighted the universal appeal of yoga.

The UK High Commission and embassies of the United States and Israel joined numerous diplomatic missions in India to celebrate International Yoga Day on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spearheaded the 10th annual event in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, with several Union ministers participating in yoga sessions throughout the national capital.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, alongside his deputies Kirti Vardhan Singh and Pabitra Margherita, performed various asanas with members of the diplomatic community in an indoor facility in Delhi. Jaishankar later shared photos of the event on social media, expressing his enthusiasm for the growing global awareness of yoga.
