Princess Kate to Attend Wimbledon Men’s Final Amid Cancer Treatment

Princess Kate of Wales will appear at the men’s singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday, her office confirmed Saturday, marking her second public outing since a cancer diagnosis revealed six months ago.

The 42-year-old royal, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, is a fervent tennis enthusiast and serves as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which organizes the renowned tennis tournament. Recently, Kate and Prince William extended a social media message to Princess Anne, who returned to duties following treatment for a concussion induced by a horse-related head injury.

Kate resumed public engagement in June during the Trooping the Colour parade, expressing plans to attend further events amid her ongoing treatment. Her office has not disclosed specifics about her cancer type or condition, nor has it detailed her treatment since it started in February.

King Charles, 75, is also battling cancer and has resumed public duties since April. However, his schedule is being carefully managed to aid his recovery.
