Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy announced the inauguration of a new library named after former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Kamaraj. The library is located at the Kamarajar Manimandapam, and its opening coincides with the birth anniversary of Kamaraj.

Rangasamy emphasized that the territorial government is carrying forward Kamaraj’s vision by implementing education-related schemes and student welfare programs. He highlighted the facilities at the Manimandapam, which include coaching for competitive exams and a library containing 50,000 books, constructed at a cost of Rs 29 crore.

The library offers online resources and a diverse collection of books to cater to students, elders, and the local community. Additionally, works by local writers and scholars will be added to the collection to encourage regional talent. Future plans for the Manimandapam include a photo section documenting the life and achievements of Kamaraj.
