The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will install 50,000 flower pots from Sardar Patel Marg to Bharat Mandapam to welcome delegates for the World Heritage Committee's 46th session, a civic body member revealed on Monday.

For the first time, India will host the committee's session from July 21 to July 31, gathering delegates worldwide to discuss the protection of cultural, natural, and mixed heritage. Chahal noted the NDMC's collaboration with the Horticulture Department and additional beautification efforts, including illuminated trees, re-developed roundabouts, and floral logo boards. Preparations are overseen by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar. The NDMC has also partnered with the New Delhi Traders' Association to turn Connaught Place into a festive celebration area.
