Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla Kick Off India Couture Week 2024 with Showstoppers Wamiqa Gabbi & Taha Shah Badussha
Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla inaugurated the 2024 Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week with their latest collection, 'Asal & Mard,' featuring actors Wamiqa Gabbi and Taha Shah Badussha as showstoppers. The showcase mixed traditional and modern styles, with a palette ranging from ivory to red.
Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla set the stage ablaze at the opening of Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week 2024 with their collection 'Asal & Mard'. Featuring renowned actors Wamiqa Gabbi and Taha Shah Badussha as showstoppers, the spectacle began with dancers in traditional attire illuminating the stage with lamps.
Wamiqa Gabbi stunned in a floral embroidered ivory trail lehenga from the 'Botanical Bloom' line, accessorized with a modern beaded hairpiece. She later transitioned into a stunning bridal red lehenga from the 'Bridal Gota' collection, meticulously detailed with golden gota, zardozi, and crystal embellishments. Taha Shah Badussha complemented her in a brocade pant with a dramatic zardozi-adorned textile drape, accessorized with a heavy necklace and bracelet.
The event was a confluence of tradition and modernity, with Abu Jani stating that the collection is all about a young bride and groom. Actress Gabbi described her runway experience as 'dream-like,' while Badussha termed it as 'phenomenal.' The designer duo, favorites of the Ambani family for decades, also saw their creations worn by celebrities like Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan at Anant Ambani's wedding earlier this month.
