Record-Breaking Pilgrimage: Amarnath Yatra Surpasses 4.65 Lakh Devotees
The Amarnath Yatra in South Kashmir has seen a record number of pilgrims this year, surpassing 4.65 lakh, compared to last year's 4.59 lakh. On Monday alone, over 7,500 pilgrims visited the shrine. The pilgrimage, which will conclude on August 19, has witnessed two deaths due to cardiac arrest.

The Amarnath Yatra has witnessed an extraordinary turnout this year, with 4.65 lakh pilgrims already visiting the Lord Shiva shrine in South Kashmir, surpassing last year's total numbers.
On Monday, more than 7,500 devotees paid homage at the high-altitude cave shrine. This brings the total count to 4,66,342 for this year.
According to officials, the pilgrimage saw participation from 4,364 male and 1,791 female pilgrims, along with 148 Sadhus and one Sadhvi. Additionally, 1,100 security forces and 106 children participated in the yatra.
Unfortunately, the yatra has also seen two fatalities due to cardiac arrests. The pilgrimage is set to conclude on August 19.
