Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan expressed his sense of stress and pride on Wednesday ahead of his son Junaid Khan's debut film 'Maharaj'. Khan said he was anxious about audience reception.

'Maharaj', featuring Junaid in the role of 19th-century social reformer Karsandas Mulji, premiered on Netflix on June 21. Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film initially faced legal challenges before its release.

Aamir was speaking at the launch event of the single 'Kooriye', sung by debutant Raj Pandit. He shared his own experience and support for the rookie performers, connecting it with his own emotions during Junaid’s debut.

'Maharaj' faced legal hurdles when members of the Vaishnavite sect filed a petition against it. The Gujarat High Court quashed the petition, allowing the film’s release. Khan expressed his pride in Junaid for charting his own path.

The multi-talented actor also revealed he's taking singing lessons, guided by guru Sucheta. 'I have been training for a year and find singing meditative,' said Khan, whose singing credits include 'Aati Kya Khandala' and 'Dekho 2000 Zamana Aa Gaya'.

The music video of 'Kooriye' features Raj Pandit and Zoya Afroz, produced by Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant, and Ashoke Pandit.
