Anand Kumar, the visionary behind Super 30, has been appointed 'Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism' for the year 2024. The formal agreement was signed by Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director of Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) for India & SAARC countries, and Kumar in New Delhi on Wednesday, according to a statement from Super 30.
Myong Kil Yun noted that Kumar's Super 30 program enjoys significant popularity in South Korea. Kumar's life story has not only been adapted into a best-seller book in Korean but also made into the widely acclaimed movie 'Super 30'. The appointment aims to strengthen cultural relations and provide educational exchange opportunities between the two nations.
In conjunction with this, Korea has launched 'Korea Super 30' travel packages designed to allow young students to explore the nation's culture and opportunities without hassle. The initiative will enable Indian students, particularly those aged 14-18, to delve into Korea's rich cultural heritage and modern advancements, fostering lasting memories and significant exposure. Parents can enroll their children in the program by filling out an application form.
Kumar commented on the initiative, emphasizing that it reflects the respect South Korea has for Indian educators as well. He called it a unique opportunity for students to gain international exposure in a technologically advanced country. Founded in 2002 by Kumar, Super 30 is renowned for selecting and training 30 talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for the highly competitive JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced exams, the entrance tests for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
