Thakur's acting journey began with TV shows like 'Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan' and 'Kumkum Bhagya' before transitioning to films. Her Hindi film debut came with 'Love Sonia' in 2018, followed by notable performances in 'Super 30' and 'Batla House.'

Mrunal gained fame through Telugu love dramas such as 'Sita Ramam' and 'Hi Nanna.' Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is set to appear in 'Lucky Baskhar,' portraying a simple bank cashier. The movie, set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, recounts the turbulent life journey of Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri. The film features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the leading lady and includes contributions from renowned composer GV Prakash Kumar and cinematographer Nimish Ravi. 'Lucky Baskhar' will be released worldwide in multiple languages.

Recently, Mrunal Thakur received acclaim for her cameo in 'Kalki 2898 AD.' Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures. Thakur has also wrapped the first shooting schedule of an upcoming comedy film with Varun Dhawan, directed by David Dhawan, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
