Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was seen at Mumbai airport early Friday, donning a white T-shirt, orange jacket, and blue denims. A cross-body bag completed his casual yet stylish look.
Accompanied by his manager Pooja Dadlani, Khan is believed to be headed for Switzerland to receive the lifetime achievement award, Pardo alla Carriera, at the 2024 Locarno Film Festival. The festival organizers announced the award in July, recognizing SRK's remarkable contributions to Indian cinema.
Giona A. Nazzaro, the festival's Artistic Director, described hosting Khan as a 'dream come true,' praising his unprecedented impact on Indian cinema. Khan is set to receive the award on August 10 at Piazza Grande. His classic film 'Devdas' will be screened during the festival, and he will engage in a public conversation on August 11 at Forum @Spazio Cinema.
Past honorees of Locarno's Honorary Leopard include Tsai Ming-liang, Francesco Rosi, and others. The accolade crowns SRK's triumphant 2023, marked by the success of 'Pathaan,' 'Jawan,' and 'Dunki.'
In other news, Khan will soon start filming his next project 'King,' which reportedly includes his daughter Suhana. A leaked video showed the film's script, hinting at its direction by Sujoy Ghosh.
