Kristóf Rasovszky Triumphs in Seine River Marathon

Hungarian swimmer Kristóf Rasovszky emerged victorious in the Olympic men's 10-kilometer marathon race held in the Seine River on a sunny, breezy morning. Battling strong currents, Rasovszky maintained his lead throughout most of the race and finished with a time of 1 hour, 50 minutes, 52.7 seconds, narrowly outpacing Germany's Oliver Klemet.

Gaining redemption from his silver at the Tokyo Games, Rasovszky clinched the gold medal while his fellow Hungarian, David Betlehem, secured the bronze. Despite strong objections about the Seine's historical pollution, Betlehem finished just ahead of Italy's Domenico Acerenza.

With the closing ceremony near, the successful organization of the Seine race will be seen as a major victory for Paris, following extensive efforts to clean up the river, historically closed to swimmers for over a century.
