Pixar has confirmed the development of 'Incredibles 3,' with Brad Bird once again serving as writer-director. The announcement was made by Pixar chief Pete Docter at Disney's D23 Expo, as reported by Variety.
While details remain scarce, the announcement follows the overwhelming success of 'Inside Out 2,' which recently became Pixar's highest-grossing film. The original 'The Incredibles' hit theaters in 2004, earning over $630 million worldwide. Its sequel, 'Incredibles 2,' released in 2018, grossed $1.24 billion globally.
Fans can look forward to the return of the iconic voice cast, including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, and Samuel L. Jackson. However, no release date has been announced for 'Incredibles 3.'
