Sachin Pilgaonkar Expresses Grief Over Veteran Actor Vijay Kadam’s Demise
Actor-director Sachin Pilgaonkar has mourned the loss of veteran Marathi artiste Vijay Kadam, who died at the age of 68. Pilgaonkar paid tribute on Instagram, while actor Jaywant Wadkar shared that Kadam courageously battled cancer before his health deteriorated.

Actor-director Sachin Pilgaonkar has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of veteran Marathi artiste Vijay Kadam. Kadam, who was 68 years old, died on Saturday.
On Sunday, Pilgaonkar took to Instagram to mourn Kadam's demise, sharing a heartfelt tribute along with a picture of the late actor, captioned with 'Vijay Kadam (Folded hand and red heart emoji) bhavpurna shradhanjali (heartfelt tribute)'.
The announcement of his death was confirmed by his friend and actor Jaywant Wadkar. In an interview with ANI, Wadkar revealed that Kadam passed away at his home in Mumbai. He had been battling cancer and, despite initial recovery, his condition worsened in the past month, with an acidity attack occurring 25 days prior to his death.
In remembrance, Wadkar described Kadam as an exceptionally versatile and talented artiste, noting his contributions to both Marathi cinema and Hindi films. Wadkar lamented that Kadam's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the industry, affectionately calling him 'like family.' Some of Kadam's notable works include 'Rathchakra', 'Vichcha Majhi Puri Kara', 'Tur Tur', and 'Sahi Re Sahi'.
