The incident occurred when eight youths from Srinagar village went to bathe in the river. One by one, they slipped into the deep water and were unable to escape, resulting in their drowning.

'Seven youths, including three cousins, drowned in deep water while one managed to escape,' confirmed Bayana Sadar SHO Balram Yadav. The survivor informed the villagers, who then rushed to the scene, retrieved the bodies, and alerted the authorities.
