Kerala's United Front: Aiding Landslide Victims with Confidence

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan emphasized the Prime Minister's assurance that resources will not be an issue for rehabilitating those affected by the Wayanad landslides. Help is pouring from all over the country, and it's now up to the state government to devise a comprehensive plan. Major landslides have resulted in significant casualties and missing persons in the region, prompting nationwide solidarity.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that resources will not be an issue for the rehabilitation of those affected by the landslides in Wayanad district, leaving it to the state government to develop a detailed plan.

Speaking to reporters, Khan mentioned that the Prime Minister suggested creating a long-term plan for the victims and assured that resource constraints would not be an obstacle.

Feeling confident with the Prime Minister's assurance, Khan noted the overwhelming support from various quarters across the country, including a Rs 3.5 lakh donation from Sathrughna Swami temple and additional contributions being sent to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.

Khan highlighted the unified response, asserting that people nationwide are sharing the grief and supporting the affected. He stated that it's now up to the state government to formulate a comprehensive plan.

On whether the state government is on the right path, Khan emphasized the unity during this emergency. The landslides on July 30 devastated the Mundakkai and Chooralamala regions of Wayanad, resulting in 229 deaths, with over 130 still missing.
