On Tuesday, Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the Jiyo Parsi scheme portal, which will enable Parsi community members to apply for financial assistance, check application status, and receive funds online via direct benefit transfer.

The Jiyo Parsi scheme, a central sector initiative by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, aims to reverse the declining Parsi population through scientific protocols and structured interventions. The scheme offers financial help for medical treatment, childcare, and support for dependent elderly members.

Rijiju, alongside Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurian and National Commission for Minorities Chairperson Iqbal Singh Lalpura, emphasized the Parsi community's rich heritage and the critical need to address population decline. He encouraged eligible Parsi couples to utilize the scheme, which has already benefited over 400 Parsi children, as per an official statement.
