Senior TMC MP Condemns Doctor's Tragic Killing, Pledges Solidarity with Protesters

In Kolkata, Senior TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Ray condemned the alleged rape and murder of a doctor at a state-run hospital. He announced his plan to hold a dharna in solidarity with women protestors.
Women across West Bengal are preparing for a midnight protest against the killing at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Ray, citing his age, said his dharna would be from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Ray's support was highlighted in a social media post, where he emphasized his familial ties and called for collective resistance against violence towards women. Meanwhile, the Calcutta High Court has ordered the CBI to take over the investigation, as protests from junior doctors have severely impacted state healthcare services.
