Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday rallied the state's citizens to collaborate with the government for achieving a 'Viksit Arunachal.' Speaking at Indira Gandhi Park on the 78th Independence Day, he stressed the importance of unity and collective effort for development.
‘We stand at a crossroads where tradition and modernity merge,’ Khandu remarked, urging responsible use of natural resources and cultural preservation. He noted the state's progress to ‘Front Runner’ status according to the Sustainable Development Goals scoreboard and outlined ambitious plans for future improvements across sectors.
Khandu's vision for 2047 includes major governance reforms, poverty eradication, digitalization, skill development, environmental protection, and women's empowerment. The chief minister highlighted initiatives like the Pink-Patrolling for women's safety, and the SEE Trinity program aimed at fostering employment opportunities. He called for local and global action to tackle pressing global challenges.
