Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday underscored the government's commitment to ensuring that the person at the last rung of society is the 'first person' for the state. Speaking at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium after hoisting the national flag on India's 78th Independence Day, Sharma highlighted the state's proactive approach to inclusive development.
Sharma emphasized that the government has made significant decisions prioritizing rural area development, tourism, sports facilities, women empowerment, and water conservation. He noted, 'Our government has given top priority to progress and has taken important decisions for development.'
The event saw enthusiastic participation in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan'. Sharma honored two women IPS officers with the President's Police Medal for their distinguished service. Retired and serving officers were also recognized for their contributions in various fields. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade hoisted the national flag at Raj Bhavan, extending greetings to the people of the state.
