Search Underway for Missing British Magnate and Crew After Yacht Sinks Off Sicily

Rescue teams are searching for six people, including British tech mogul Mike Lynch, who are believed to be trapped in a sunken yacht off Sicily. Divers faced initial challenges from debris blocking access to the vessel's cabins, and the ship's position 50 meters below sea level further complicates the operation. Despite these hurdles, rescue teams are determined to continue their search for those still missing.

Among the survivors is Charlotte Golunski, who saved her 1-year-old daughter from drowning. The tragedy unfolded when a waterspout hit the yacht, which was moored near Porticello. So far, one body has been recovered as efforts to find the remaining six missing people continue in earnest.
