Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, renowned for its conservation efforts, has teamed up with the Anil Agarwal Foundation's The Animal Care Organisation (TACO) to launch a new wildlife surveillance center and residential units for frontline workers.

This strategic partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in the presence of Assam's Environment and Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary. The collaboration is aligned with TACO's wildlife conservation project ‘Mission Vanraksha’ and aims to enhance the protection of endangered species such as the Greater One-Horned Rhinos, Asiatic Elephants, and Bengal Tigers.

The Rs 6 crore initiative, spread over three years, is a significant step towards ensuring zero poaching and promoting sustainability in the Kaziranga National Park, which spans 1,302 sq km and is home to over 2,613 Greater One-Horned Rhinoceroses. Minister Patowary emphasized that the initiative will also improve the well-being of frontline workers, who are crucial in maintaining the park's biodiversity.
