The Indian Air Force on Wednesday unveiled a new comic book chronicling the legendary IAF Marshal Arjan Singh and the epic Battle of Boyra from the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Chief Air Marshal V R Chaudhari introduced the 32-page 'Heroes of the Indian Air Force - Vol. I' at Vayu Bhawan. The book aims to educate youth on the Air Force's storied history and inspire them to join the ranks.
The comic features two stories, 'Find Your Calling' and 'Battle of Boyra,' blending thrilling visuals with real-life heroics. Arjan Singh, who also distinguished himself in the Burma campaign during World War II and the 1965 Indo-Pak war, is a focal point. The project was spearheaded by the DISHA Cell of the IAF.
Officials emphasized that the comic serves as a direct call to action for young readers, aiming to foster appreciation for courage, motivation, and perseverance. Alongside in-depth historical accuracy, a PDF version will be available online for free distribution on social media to reach a wider audience.
