British star Barry Keoghan is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming 'Peaky Blinders' movie. The highly anticipated film will see Oscar winner Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby.

Expected to debut on Netflix, the film is being produced in association with the BBC and will be directed by Tom Harper. The screenplay has been penned by series creator Steven Knight, who also produced the six-season-long show.

Keoghan, who earned an Oscar nomination for 'The Banshees of Inisherin,' will star alongside Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson. Specific details about Keoghan's role remain undisclosed.

The original series, centered around the Peaky Blinders crime gang in post-World War I Britain, concluded its run in 2022. Creator Knight had hinted at continuing the story, culminating in the film's official confirmation in June of this year. Production is slated to begin in the upcoming months.

The film will be produced by Knight, Murphy, Caryn Mandabach, and Guy Heeley, with Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason serving as executive producers.
