Senior TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee on Thursday criticized the agitating medics of West Bengal, calling them 'inhumane' and 'unfit to become doctors', and urged the state government to ensure they are barred from appearing for their final exams.
The Trinamool Congress leader's remarks followed the refusal of protesting junior doctors to hold talks with the state government unless their demand for live streaming of the meeting was met.
The stand-off emerged after the alleged rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College, which led to the medics' month-long 'cease work' movement.
