Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Debbarma announced a solidarity rally on September 26 in South Tripura's Sabroom to stand with persecuted minorities in Bangladesh.

Speaking at a press conference, Debbarma called on the state's residents to join the rally, citing historical and ongoing violence against minorities in Bangladesh.

Debbarma also urged the Indian government to raise the issue at the United Nations. Additionally, he discussed progress on the Tiprasa accord and proposed financial aid for insurgency victims.
