In a tragic incident, two young cousins aged 13 and 14 drowned in a pond in Balotra district, Rajasthan, on Wednesday.

The victims, identified as Chetan Singh (13) and Hem Singh (14), were grazing cattle when the tragedy struck. The younger cousin, Chetan, entered the pond and began to drown. Hem jumped in to rescue him, but both ultimately perished in the deep waters, according to Sindhari SHO Suresh Kumar.

Authorities have handed over the bodies to the grieving family following a post-mortem examination.
