Star Power: Actor Nagarjuna Battles Defamation in Court

Actor Nagarjuna has filed a criminal defamation complaint against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha, concerning her comments on the divorce of his son, Naga Chaitanya, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actor appeared in court with his son. Surekha later retracted her statements amid backlash from the film industry.

In an ongoing legal battle, renowned actor Nagarjuna made an appearance in a local court on Tuesday, following the criminal defamation complaint he lodged against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. The issue stems from remarks she made regarding the divorce of Nagarjuna's son, Naga Chaitanya, and actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Accompanied by his wife Amala and Naga Chaitanya, Nagarjuna arrived at the Nampally court, where his statement, as well as testimony from his niece and witness Supriya, was recorded. The case has been scheduled for further consideration on October 10, according to Nagarjuna's lawyer, Ashok Reddy.

Konda Surekha, the Minister of Forest, had implied that BRS leader KT Rama Rao played a part in the divorce, a claim that was met with criticisms from political and film industry circles, leading her to withdraw her comments. Both Chaitanya and Prabhu insisted their separation was a mutual decision, unaffected by external influence.
