Governor Gurmit Singh on Tuesday inaugurated the 'Uttarakhand Cell' at IIM Kashipur, marking a significant step towards regional development. The new initiative aims to put Uttarakhand on the global map by promoting local products such as Badri cow ghee.

In partnership with local universities, the Uttarakhand Cell will focus on key sectors including agriculture, wellness, honey production, and spiritual tourism, with an emphasis on empowering farmers and women. The project seeks to solve logistical issues while boosting educational collaborations.

Three agreements were signed with local universities, ensuring that the efforts align with the state's development goals. Singh emphasized the crucial role of young entrepreneurs in driving the Indian economy, highlighting the country's 116 unicorn businesses as proof of their determination. He encouraged the youth to pursue entrepreneurship and focus on value addition in various industries.
