This initiative seeks to honor Patel's extraordinary contributions to the establishment of a unified and democratic India.

Shah emphasized Sardar Patel’s indelible legacy as the architect of India’s unity, from Kashmir to Lakshadweep. Known for his pivotal role in integrating over 550 princely states into the Indian Union, Patel remains a towering figure in the nation's history.

Established as 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' or National Unity Day in 2014, October 31 is dedicated to fostering the spirit of unity and integrity. Patel's birth anniversary celebration will further cement this commitment, with a range of nationwide events planned to recall his monumental achievements.
