Kerala Gears Up for Sabarimala Pilgrimage: Extensive Safety and Facilities Arranged
The Kerala government has confirmed comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Sabarimala pilgrimage. State departments have been directed to ensure smooth and safe travel for devotees, with increased medical services, joint inspections for food safety, and expanded parking facilities.

The Kerala government has ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for the upcoming annual Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage to the Lord Ayyappa shrine in Sabarimala, according to Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan.
Following a review meeting, the minister emphasized that both the Kerala State Transport Project and National Highway departments have been instructed to implement safety precautions in areas prone to accidents along the pilgrimage route.
The initiative includes coordination with health and local self-government departments to provide medical services and logistical support, while police, excise, and forest departments are forming special squads for joint inspections.
