The Baba Balaknath Temple Trust in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district has sanctioned a budget of Rs 40.60 crore for its operations in 2024, officials confirmed. Chaired by Sub Divisional Magistrate Barsar, Rajendra Gautam, the trust's meeting outlined significant allocations and spending strategies for the year.

In 2024, the trust earned over Rs 35 crore and spent over Rs 27 crore. The majority of the budget will focus on employee benefits and welfare programs, including educational initiatives. Furthermore, Rs 1 crore is allocated for the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashraya Yojana, a state government's scheme.

Funds are also earmarked for temple maintenance such as tile replacements, security upgrades, and infrastructure improvements like CCTVs and hand pumps. The temple, devoted to Lord Kartikeya's incarnation, Baba Balaknath, is a prominent pilgrimage site, drawing visitors throughout the year.
