Director Reema Kagti aims to capture the creative essence of Nasir Shaikh in her upcoming film 'Superboys of Malegaon', a portrayal of the self-taught filmmaker known for his local movie spoofs.

The film dives deeper into Shaikh's journey, building on the foundation laid by the popular 2008 documentary 'Supermen of Malegaon'. Kagti, lauded for her previous works, has consistently emphasized the individuality of her project, aiming to reflect the life behind the legend.

Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, the movie showcases Adarsh Gourav as Shaikh and celebrates a universal story of creative ambition. Produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, 'Superboys of Malegaon' is set for a theatrical release on February 28.
