Maharashtra Cyber, the state's cyber and information security division, is set to reissue a summons to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, who failed to appear for questioning in a case concerning his contentious comments on Samay Raina's YouTube show, 'India's Got Latent.'
The YouTuber's remarks sparked significant controversy, resulting in an inquiry that has seen approximately 50 statements recorded so far, including that of actor Raghu Ram, who was on the show's judging panel. Raghu Ram complied with the questioning earlier this week, while Raina, currently touring the US, has postponed his own appearance.
Mumbai police have also launched a related investigation, with both Allahbadia and Raina required to attend separate inquiries. Despite Allahbadia's request to have his statement recorded at home being denied, authorities are keen to resolve the public uproar caused by the viral video.
