A delegation of advocates lodged a complaint on Thursday against popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia and Samay Raina at the Nayapura police station. Led by Advocate Hemant Sharma, the group accused the YouTubers of making vulgar remarks on the show 'India's Got Latent', demanding strict actions against its creators.
The complaint cites outrage over the show's episode from February 9, filmed in Mumbai, which contained inappropriate content potentially harmful to students in Kota, particularly those preparing for competitive exams. Additionally, Apoorva Makhija and Ashish Chanchlani were named in the complaint.
Nayapura Circle Officer Rajpal Singh acknowledged receipt of the complaint, describing it as a symbolic protest since the issue was not centered in Kota. The advocates also plan to submit a complaint to the state women’s commission, highlighting the need to maintain social and cultural norms.
