Filmmaker Farah Khan Faces Controversy Over Holi Remark

A criminal complaint was lodged against filmmaker Farah Khan for allegedly calling Holi a festival for ‘chhapris’ (uncultured). The complaint was submitted by social media influencer Vikas Jayram Phatak (Hindustani Bhau). Police have not registered a First Information Report, but an inquiry is ongoing.

Filmmaker Farah Khan is at the center of a controversy following a criminal complaint filed against her for allegedly disparaging the Hindu festival of Holi.

Vikas Jayram Phatak, also known as Hindustani Bhau, lodged the complaint, claiming Khan's remarks insulted the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The police have begun an inquiry but have yet to file an official First Information Report, as confirmed by authorities at the Khar police station.
