Vice President's Cultural Journey: Prayers and Heritage Exploration

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar visited the Ghrishneshwar Temple and Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, engaging in cultural and spiritual activities. During his one-day visit, he also attended events in local educational institutions, keenly observing the historical artifacts and receiving a guidebook on Ellora as a gift.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar offered prayers at Ghrishneshwar Temple and explored the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinahar on Saturday as part of his one-day visit. His itinerary included participation in events at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and Saraswati Bhuwan College.

During his visit, Dhankar showed an interest in the cultural heritage by keenly observing the sculptures and the Ramayana panel in the Kailash temple, one of the renowned attractions within Ellora Caves. This site is recognized as one of the 12 jyotirlingas, marking its religious significance.

The Vice President’s exploration of these heritage sites was acknowledged with a gift, as he received a guidebook detailing the history and significance of Ellora, according to a senior Archaeological Survey of India official.
