Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is working towards realizing his longtime ambition of adapting the epic tale of Mahabharat for the big screen. Speaking at the ABP Network’s Ideas of India 2025, Khan revealed his desire not only to bring mythology to life but also to produce more children's content domestically.
Aamir Khan expressed his commitment to supporting new talent in Bollywood through his production house. He plans to focus on producing films that offer fresh narratives, similar to his recent project 'Laapataa Ladies,' which showcased emerging actors. Khan emphasized the need for greater recognition and support for writers in the Hindi film industry.
While discussing his son Junaid’s career and upcoming projects, Khan acknowledged the stress of parental involvement in Junaid's recent film's performance. He also announced an upcoming romantic film featuring Junaid, slated for release later this year. Aamir Khan himself will return to the screen with 'Sitaare Zameen Par,' a comedy that serves as a thematic sequel to his successful 2007 film 'Taare Zameen Par.'
