D.A. Demands Truth from Menendez Brothers for Possible Release

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated Lyle and Erik Menendez must fully acknowledge their lies about their parents' murders before he will support their release. In a press conference on Monday, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman asserted that Lyle and Erik Menendez should fully disclose their past fabrications about their parents' shotgun murders if they wish to be considered for release from prison.

These brothers, who were convicted in 1996 for the murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, are now facing a resentencing hearing scheduled for March. Their case saw renewed public interest following claims of past parental abuse, highlighted by a Netflix documentary series.

While some family members advocate their release, Hochman's stance remains firm, requiring the Menendez brothers to admit to all deceit they perpetuated over the years. California Governor Gavin Newsom has also expressed interest, instructing the parole board to evaluate the public safety risk the brothers might pose if released.
