Modi declared that Mauritius is more than a partner country, it is like 'Mini India'. He emphasized the deep historical and cultural ties binding the two nations, underscoring Mauritius's role in India's SAGAR vision for regional security and growth. He reiterated the extension of OCI cards to the seventh generation of the Indian diaspora in Mauritius as a testament to this enduring relationship.
The event also saw Modi being awarded Mauritius's highest civilian honor, acknowledging the crucial ties between India and Mauritius. Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude for this recognition, viewing it as an honor for the shared heritage of the two nations. He is set to attend the national day celebrations of Mauritius as the chief guest.
