Sakthi Aircraft Industry Takes Flight with Landmark DA40 NG Deal

Sakthi Aircraft Industry, in partnership with Austria's Diamond Aircraft, plans to manufacture 150 DA40 NG trainer planes in India. A total of 200 planes will be distributed to Flying Training Organizations, with the aim of training 1,000 pilots annually and 10,000 over a decade.

Sakthi Aircraft Industry, a collaboration between India's Sakthi Group and Austria's Diamond Aircraft, is set to produce 150 DA40 NG trainer planes in India, enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.

The joint venture plans to supply 200 aircraft to Flying Training Organizations across India, as outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Aero Club of India.

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu highlighted the initiative as a pivotal step towards establishing India as a global hub for flight training. The agreement is also expected to address the demand for skilled pilots by ensuring a steady supply of DA40 NG aircraft.
