Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has accused previous state governments of allowing land mafias to illegally occupy sacred sites in Prayagraj, compromising their sanctity. During the Maha Kumbh, these sites were liberated, promoting continuous visits from devotees.
Speaking at the 'Manthan: Kumbh and Beyond' event in Lucknow, Adityanath emphasized that the Maha Kumbh displayed India's cultural richness and Sanatan Dharma's essence, which helped in changing Uttar Pradesh's negative image. Iconic sites like Akshay Vat and Shringverpur were restored, highlighting gratitude toward India's ancient traditions.
Adityanath took a decisive stance against opposition parties, alleging poor management during previous Kumbh events. He noted technological strides made during recent celebrations, including digital reunion centers and multilingual apps, framing these as pivotal to the event's success and global perception shift.
