Abu Dhabi-based Animotion Media has entered a strategic partnership with India's Reliance Animation Studios to bring 'The Fixies' animated franchise to India. Announced on March 24, the collaboration seeks to premiere 'The Fixies' series and movie in 2025, reaching South Asian audiences in local languages.
Julia Nikolaeva, General Manager at Animotion Media, expressed enthusiasm for working with Reliance Animation, a prominent figure in South Asia's animation industry. The partnership aims to leverage billions of YouTube views and expand the franchise through local adaptations and new content for young audiences.
Reliance Entertainment's Group CEO, Shibasish Sarkar, noted the potential for cross-border collaboration in entertainment markets, while Tejonidhi Bhandare, CEO at Reliance Animation, emphasized the partnership's capability to develop new intellectual properties. This marks a significant advancement in Animotion's global expansion strategy.
