The state of Andhra Pradesh is preparing to host an extraordinary International Yoga Day event on June 21. Thousands are set to gather for a 26-km yoga session from RK Beach to Bhogapuram in Visakhapatnam, aiming for records and international recognition.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu highlighted that the event will not only see over 3 lakh participants engaging in yoga but also includes simultaneous activities across the state, drawing an estimated 2.39 crore registrations worldwide. The theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health', reflects a global unity in promoting the ancient practice.
Security measures are rigorous, with over 1,200 CCTV cameras and drones monitoring the event, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi joins. Over 10,000 police personnel and a high-tech control room ensure safety and coordination, underscoring the event's importance on the international stage.
