Lakhanpur, located in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, has undergone a transformation to serve as a multi-utility facilitation centre for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims, according to an official statement on Monday.
Kathua Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas highlighted the comprehensive preparations made to welcome pilgrims, including robust arrangements for comfort, safety, and spiritual fulfillment. This includes RFID registration, lodging, and healthcare provisions.
To bolster security, a multi-tier system featuring police, paramilitary, and other forces has been deployed, with checkpoints, CCTV, and patrols ensuring constant vigilance. Pilgrims are encouraged to use the RFID facility at Lakhanpur and comply with guidelines to ensure a peaceful yatra.
