An innovative tea technology crafted by Assam entrepreneurs has gained official recognition with a patent, officials announced on Tuesday.
TTLT India Private Ltd from Sivasagar, creators of the 'Woolah Tea' brand, have patented what they describe as Bagless Tea Technology.
The Chief Minister's Office highlighted the accomplishment, stating, ''Woolah Tea, a dedicated local startup, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a patent for its Bagless Tea Technology.'' Woolah will showcase this local ingenuity at the New York Summer Fancy Food Festival 2025.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Woolah Tea team for their achievements and sent his best wishes.
The patent grants protection for the 'compressed true whole leaf tea dips and method thereof' for 20 years from the filing date.
