The Indian Army is set to launch three significant initiatives on the occasion of the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day commemorating the triumph of 'Operation Vijay' and the valiant efforts of Indian soldiers in 1999. The projects aim to increase public awareness of the bravery and sacrifices made by these soldiers.
One of the key projects is the introduction of a portal for 'e-shradhanjali', allowing citizens to pay their respects to martyrs online without needing to visit memorials. This initiative is intended to educate people about the armed forces' sacrifices and the challenges they endure during service.
Additionally, a QR code-based audio application will enable users to listen to stories of the battles fought during the Kargil war, bringing these heroic narratives to life. The third project, the Indus Viewpoint, offers visitors a glimpse into the difficult conditions soldiers face near the Line of Control in the Batalik sector, a strategic location during the war.
